To emphasise the significance and need to invest as a life skill, IB11 had engaged in a Micro-Financing Workshop, as a part of their Creativity strand for CAS, facilitated by our TSRS alumni – Vishnu Jain – Batch of 2016.
This interaction between the facilitator and the IB students highlighted various aspects of micro-financing. To name a few which included the understanding of compounding interest, index funds, SIPs and mutual fund. The most impressive and delightful part was the Q&A session that helped students keen on investing and perhaps already investing.
Unanimous learning and takeaway from this session was that; Investing early in life reaps greater rewards than one can imagine! Like Warren Buffett says,
Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago!
