CAS Initiatives

The Balwadi Fun Day

The Balwadi Fun Day is an annual event at TSRS which is traditionally organised by the students of IB 11 as a part of their CAS initiative for the students of the Balwadi Programme.

This year saw a fun filled day for every student, complete with music, dance, a plethora of game and scrumptious food for everyone to enjoy.

The day started off with a puppet show and cotton candy which had every child smiling. Our students also organised various carnival games including Hoopla Toss, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Collapse the Ball Tower, Sand Treasure Hunt, Paper Dance to name a few. The face painting and photo booth was a favourite for many children. One could see smiling and excited faces painted with butterflies, dragons, and flowers posing with funky props made by the IB 11 students. The biggest hit were the two bouncy castles and getting the Balwadi children out of them was a challenge!!

Students then served lunch to the Balwadi children and ended the day by gifting each child with a backpack and a steel thali set.

Our students truly did justice to their fundraising efforts by hosting the most fabulous Balwadi Fun Day. It was an unforgettable day not just for the Balwadi students, but for all of us as well!

Fundraiser- ‘Fun Night’

Fun Night was a fundraiser held at TSRS, Moulsari on 22nd Nov, to raise money for the much awaited annual Balwadi Fun Day.

The Balwadi programme is an integral part of the CAS initiatives at TSRS and the Balwadi Fun Day is traditionally hosted by the IB 11 students for the Balwadi children.

Continuing the endeavours of our previous batch, the students of IB11 this year took the Fun Night to a whole new level!

After days of frenzied planning, the batch of 2021 chose three movies to screen, curated a sumptuous menu and went full steam ahead to publicise the event.

The movie night was open to grades 6-12 and met with an overwhelming response. The live band set the tone for the festivities. With over 330 students in attendance, the evening buzzed with anticipation, excitement and energy. With three different venues and timed intervals, along with the four food stalls selling popcorn, homemade cupcakes, pizzas and drinks it was an authentic cinematic experience brought to school!

Our students demonstrated meticulous planning, collaboration and an innovative thought process to take on the challenges of organising such a large- scale event with élan.
